Charles Darwin
John Murray, London · 1892
First Edition Thus. Early edition of one of Darwin's major works, and one in which he took both pride and pleasure. Fourth thousand stated on title page [Freeman 1286].
Lovely clean and tight copy in original green cloth. 352pp text incl. numerous illustrations. No previous owner inscriptions or annotations, text spotless, just slight oxidation to spine gilt and minimal shelf wear to extremities. Most unmommon in such nice condition.
Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
