Every book is packed to archival standard: wrapped, boarded where the binding needs it, and boxed. Orders ship from Szeged, Hungary.

Times

We dispatch within two working days of payment clearing, and usually the next morning. Transit is then typically 2 to 4 working days within Europe and 3 to 6 to North America, Australia and Asia, by tracked FedEx. Anything that will take longer, we tell you before you pay.

Cost, duties and taxes

Shipping is quoted at checkout by destination and weight. Prices shown are the full price of the book: there is nothing added later except the shipping you see.

Deliveries outside the European Union may attract import duty or tax in the destination country. That is the importing country's charge, levied on you, and it is not something we collect or control.

Cultural goods

A small number of items cannot leave the European Union without an export licence: manuscripts, incunabula and archival material at any value, and books over 100 years old where the value exceeds €50,000 (Council Regulation 116/2009). Almost nothing we sell falls into this, but where it does we tell you before taking payment and we do not ship without the licence.
