First Edition. First edition of this classic Benson comedy of manners, the third of the Mapp and Lucia sequence of novels. Publisher's textured light blue cloth lettered and ruled in black. 288pp, undated, but published in Spring 1927 and with publisher's dated catalogue at rear making no mention of this title.
Page edge foxing and cloth slightly rubbed. However, perfectly sound and quite clean internally. A scarce first edition and hard to find in any better condition.
