First Edition. Extremely scarce contemporary account in English of the 1848-9 revolution in Hungary. 336pp text + 4pp publisher's catalogue. In original reddish-brown morocco-grained cloth with blind-stamped rules to covers and gilt spine lettering.
Edges uncut, mustard end-papers. One small ownership stamp to title page else clean and sound throughout with spine gilt still bright. Truly rare in such nice condition.
