The God in the Car

Anthony Hope
Methuen, London · 1894

First Edition. Very scarce first edition in 2 volumes of this early novel by 'Prisoner of Zenda' author Anthony Hope. Attractively bound in dark red moire cloth with black spine title labels lettered in gilt, top edges stained brown.

Two volumes paginated continuously, 1-164 and 165-327. Catalogues not bound in. Sporadic grubbiness and signs of wear internally but quite sound and a very pleasing set to look at.

Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
