First Edition. Rare early title by the author of Embers. This is a collection of essays and sketches in the blue cloth binding with gilt lettering and decoration designed by Kassak Lajos for Pantheon's series of new Hungarian fiction.
Just the second copy I have unearthed in 20 years of dealing with Marai's works in Hungary. Minimal scuffing at head and tail but a VG clean copy. Kassak Lajos (illustrator).
