A seminal work of 20th century literary criticism. Although Lukacs was Hungarian by birth he wrote most of his important works in German. This is undoubtedly his most significant contribution to literary aesthetic theory.
Published in a very small edition in a fragile binding, and on cheap brittle paper, very few copies have survived in collectable condition. This one is in exceptionally good state in the original brown, paper-covered boards lettered in yellow. No marks, foxing or creasing, just the slightest rubbing to spine edges.
Very scarce thus.
