First Edition. Excellent copy of this major novel by the Hungarian Nobel laureate in the ultra-scarce first edition. A Kudarc was Kertesz's second novel, only appearing in 1988, some 13 years after his debut (and still his most famous work) Sorstalansag (Fateless).
In the publisher's black paper-covered boards lettered in white and in dustwrapper with colour photo to front panel and author photo to rear. Minor rubbing - shelf wear - to lower edges of book, but a clean, bright and seemingly unread copy.
