First Edition. Very scarce early novel by the author of Raffles in true first edition. Dark blue ribbed cloth with gilt spine lettering, top edges gilt and decorative endpapers.
Two catalogues to rear dated 10.97 and 2.98 as required. Patchy loss of sizing to cloth creating a mottled effect but apartfrom this flaw quite sound and very clean internally. All of Hornung's books are now hard to find, particularly those from the 1890s.
