The Tango and How to Dance It
Gladys Beattie Crozier
Andrew Melrose, London · 1913
First Edition. Scarce volume on the tango, as far as I have been able to determine, the first full-length treatment in any language of the new dance craze that hit Europe from Argentina just prior to the Great War. In original light blue cloth with lettering in white and gilt. 152pp of text followed by 32pp of photographic plates featuring wonderful period costume.
Very light page-edge foxing but very clean and sharp with no previous ownership inscriptions. An ideal collector's copy.
Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
