Peter

E.F. Benson
Cassell, London · 1926

First Edition Thus. First popular edition of one of Benson's scarcest novels. According to the imprint there were 4 impressions of this book in 1922, but where all those copies have disappeared to is a complete mystery.

The present copy is in the publisher's tan cloth lettered and ruled in black. General signs of wear and tear, with worn patches to pastedowns where a glued on protective cover has been removed. Generally clean and sound though and a rare opportunity to acquire any copy of the Cassell editions at a reasonable price.

Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
