First Edition. First edition of one of Benson's scarcest novels. Publisher's bluey-green cloth lettered and decorated in dark blue.
First published 1922 [so stated] and coded 1221 [i.e. printed in December 1921]. The print run was 7,500 copies - a substantial number, but most of these would havegone to subscription libraries and no longer exist. This is clean and sound with just slight fading to spine and minimal wear around the spine area.
No previous ownership inscriptions and very clean internally. Rare in such nice condition.
