First Edition. Very Good. Very scarce first edition of this novel.
In publisher's paper-covered boards, cloth spine. margins of paper sun-darkened, covers slightly grubby. However, a smart and sound copy. This first issue was of just 5000 copies, most of which were undoubtedly destroyed in the 30s and 40s.
