First Edition Thus. Very edition of this famous novel, the 20th and final part of the Rougon-Macquart sequence. This is a copy of the Sixth Thousand (Sixieme Mille) published in the same year as the first edition and almost certainly just the second printing.
Contemporary half-cloth binding lettered in gilt to spine & with page edges stained red. Original covers not preserved. Slight rubbing at extremities else clean and bright.
