First Edition. Extremely scarce original edition of this fictionalized account of one of the key events in Malta's history. Published in Bruxelles the same year as the Paris first edition.
In 2 volumes, each of 312pp, each with title pages. In contemporary marbled paper-covered boards with spine labels. All edges stained yellow.
General rubbing to boards but perfectly sound and very clean internally.
