Into the Abyss
John Knittel
Heinemann, London · 1927
First Edition. True first edition of this scarce and highly respected work by Knittel, an Indian-born Swiss novelist who mostly wrote (as in this case) in English. For anyone seeking THE copy of this book - this is it.
It must have been kept away from dust, sunlight and human hands for the past 80 odd years as this is almost without doubt the best preserved copy in existence. The book itself is absolutely fine, as issued and the illustrated dw is almost as good, with just one neat internal tape repair to a short snag at the foot of the spine.
Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
