First Edition. True first English edition, first issue with publisher's ads dated October 1891. Original pebble-grained blue cloth with lettering in gilt and decoration in gilt and black.
Edges uncut, dark green end-papers. Minor internal repair to spine edge and light rubbing to extremities; finger marks passim to text margins. Good, sound copy nonetheless of a scarce book.
