First Edition. Nice copy of this rare and early work on the science of meteorology and physical phenomena in the air. Original decorative cloth with gilt vignette to front cover and elaborate gilding to spine. 216pp with 3 full-page plates + 90 in-text illustrations, including a fantastic picture of a telephone, which is not what we think of today, but a free-standing crank-handled machine for transmitting amplified sounds as signals between ships at sea.
Light foxing to text and minor rubbing to cloth but a very well preserved example. EA, sehr gut erhalten. OLn mit Goldpragung.
