Bridge and How to Play it
Archibald Dunn
Routledge, London · 1913
Fifteenth Edition. Lovely copy of this very early and important Bridge book, the first serious work on the game. The first edition was 1899 and there followed numerous revised editions as rules and strategies were changed and refined.
The present copy is from the 15th ed, 4th impression and dated 1913 on the title page. The book was issued in two formats; Coloured boards at 1 shilling and cloth at 1/6d. This is in the more expensive and much scarcer cloth binding - maroon vertically ribbed cloth lettered in gilt.
A nice, clean and perfectly sound copy. Rare.
Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
