First Edition. Extremely scarce historical novel with hunting as its principal theme, set at the time of the Civil War. The pseudonymous author was a noted huntsman, but this seems to have been his only work of fiction.
Publisher's morocco-grained green cloth lettered in gilt. Top edge uncut. Floral endpapers.
Front inner hinge strained and minor page-edge foxing else very good and smart. Not in Wolff. The only copy I've ever seen - or even heard of.
Rare.
Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
