First Edition. Scarce UK first edition of this key Haggard title. Original smooth blue cloth with bevelled edges lettering and cartouche in gilt.
First issue with catalogue at rear for January 1889. All illustrations present plus tipped in slip at list of illus. as required. Slight rubbing along lower edges else an excellent VG+ tight copy with no previous ownership inscriptions.
