First Edition. Decent copy of this famous collection of short stories by Mikszath. First edition, dated 1906 on title page [Tezla p.397].
Publisher's attractive Art Nouveau binding of olive green cloth lettered and decorated in black, white and gilt; all edges stained pink, floral end-papers. Some foxing and wear to spine, rear end-paper missing, but a sound copy.
