Uton [On the Road]
Jack Kerouac
Magveto, Budapest · 1966
First Edition. Very scarce Hungarian first edition of Kerouac's most famous novel. His first book to appear in Hungarian, preceding all other works by at least 20 years.
Publisher's white linen lettered in lavender, top edge stained blue, integral silk page marker. Frontis photo portrait of Jack and 6pp introduction by Kristo Nagy Istvan. The translation itself is by Dery Gyorgy.
Cream, non-pictorial dw with lettering in black and geometric rules in lavender. A couple of chips to brittle dw, but largely intact. A rare book in any condition and a great addition to your Kerouac collection.
Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
