Topper - An Improbable Adventure
Thorne Smith Robert Holden, London · 1926
First Edition. Ultra scarce UK first edition of this classic comic fantasy novel. Thorne Smith's first and most famous book.
Listed in Bleiler's guide to fantastic literature. First issue binding of plum-coloured cloth with gilt spine lettering and blind-stamped rules to front cover. Small, slightly darker mark to spine; slight off-setting to endpapers.
A very good, bright copy of this rare book - much harder to find than the US edition from the same year.
Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
