The Waters of Edera
Ouida
T. Fisher Unwin, London · 1900
First Edition. Very scarce late novel by Ouida, the last that she completed prior to her death in 1908. In a secondary binding of ripple-grain bottle green cloth with blind-stamping to covers and gilt lettering to spine.
Either a publisher's remainder binding or done for W.H. Smith's since frontend-paper bears an embossed stamp in blind stating W.H. Smith's Subscription Library.
No other library marks. Clean, tight copy, cracked along inner hinges but neatly internally strengthened. A rare book; no other copies of this the true first edition available online at time of listing.
Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
