Gallon was a great admirer and imitator of Dickens' Christmas Books, this being the best example.In original sage green cloth with cover illustration and lettering in dark green. 342pp text with numerous illustrations by Gordon Browne and publisher's integral ads at rear.
Minor scuffing to covers and almost invisible repair to split along one spine hinge. A good or better copy of a most uncommon book. Gordon Browne (illustrator).
