Original blue cloth with lettering and rules in white to front cover + vignette and spine lettering in gilt. 320pp text + numerous plates including the famous tissue-guarded frontis. which shows Doyle in a false beard assuming the persona of Professor Challenger. Minor shelf wear to spine edges and corners but a perfectly sound and internally remarkably clean copy of this iconic work.
