First Edition. First edition of this collection published by Vizetelly as Vpol. 3 in the firm's Readable Books series. Printing date of June 26th 1852 visible along one guttter. 226pp text + 4 full page illustrations and illustrated title page.
An ex-library copy with stamps and perforations to titlepage and in modern cloth rebinding with gilt spine lettering. The binding has certainly preserved the contents and it is internally and externally VG, but not in the original paper covers.
