The Common-place Philosopher in Town and Country

A.K. H. Boyd
Parker, Son and Bourn, London · 1862

First Edition. Very scarce collection of wry, witty and wise observations on life by the author of Recreations of a Country Parson. Published semi-anonymously, but credited to A.K.H.B. in the publisher's list.

Original vertically-ribbed brown cloth lettered in gilt to spine and with ruling in black; brown endpapers; edges uncut; red and black title page. 391pp text + 8pp catalogue at rear. Minor rubbing to head and tail of spine but a clean, bright and internally very clean copy of a most uncommon work.

Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
