First Edition. Described on tp as 'Premier Mille', i.e. that this First Edition comprised one thousand copies. The author is better known under her maiden name as the Comtesse de Segur.
This juvenile story, in the famous Bibliotheque Rose series, is in the publisher's original red cloth with gilt spine lettering and decoration; all edges gilt. Some surface wear to cloth and a few faint marks to text but good and sound. Scarce in any edition or condition.
