Very scarce expanded edition of Mrs Craik's Poems, with many additions. Described on tp as the Copyright Edition and by the Author of John Halifax, Gentleman. In publisher's ornate binding: dark green cloth with lettering and floral decoartions in gilt andblack to front and rear covers and spine, edges uncut.
Front free endpaper has been neatly removed and prelims are foxed. 32pp publisher's catalogue dated October 1871. A couple of grubby fingermarks to fore-edges but externally a very smart, unfaded copy and perfectly tight and sound.
