First Edition Thus. First issue in the collected works edition of 1842-43 (first was 1809). Contemporary half cloth binding with gilt spine lettering and decoration.
Spine lean, grubbiness to margins, edge-wear and loss to paper from lower cover. Nonetheless, a good sound copy of a scarce book.
