First Edition. Scarce first edition of this B.M. Croker novel; one of her English novels, with India in the background for a change.
Publisher's dark blue buckram with lettering and cover vignette in gilt. Top edges gilt, other edges untrimmmed. 328pp + 32pp catalogue at rear dated January 1898 [earliest issue]. Front inner hinge split but holding, slight spine sunning, but a very good,sound copy of a book rarely encountered in any condition.
