First Edition. Scarce juvenile fantasy collection, undated but published for Christmas 1869. Original sand-grained green cloth with elaborate lettering and decoration in gilt and blind.

Several uncredited illustrations. Front free endpaper removed, slight edge rubbing and minor grubbiness passimbut a sound and quite attractive copy of a rare book.
