First Edition. Nice copy of this early novel by Bourget. The printers were remarkably quick as the dedication is dated 26.
Oct 1887 and the acheve d'imprimer at the rear is 30. Oct 1887! In a contemporary half-cloth binding with spine gilt lettering and decoration, all edges marbled, silk marker. Original wraps not bound in.
Perfectly clean and sound. Scarce thus.
