First Edition. First edition of this rare, early Benson novel, his only book to appear over the short-lived Innes imprint. Publisher's vertically ribbed blue cloth lettered and ruled in gilt. 348pp text + 8pp ads, edges uncut.
Fading to lower portion of rear cover where label has been removed; name clipped from top of half-title; light, general shelf wear. Other than these flaws a clean, sound and fairly bright copy.
