Extremely rare first edition in French of 12 short stories by Strindberg, his first work to appear in French translation, published in 1885, many years before he became well known in the English-speaking world. 354pp of text + table of contents. Bound in contemporary half-cloth with gilt spine lettering and decoration, all edges marbled.

A clean, bright and tight copy with no marks or inscriptions.
