Kaddis [Kaddish]
Imre Kertesz
Magveto, Budapest
First Edition Thus. Very scarce second edition in the original Hungarian of this celebrated short novel, translated into English as Kaddish. Imre Kertesz was surely one of the most surprising Nobel Prize winners ever.
Until the award few Hungarians had ever heard of him, let alone the rest of the world. This novel was published long before the award and is now very hard to find. Undated copy [c.1994] in publisher's blue and black mottled leatherette lettered in gilt, without dust-wrapper, as issued.
A clean, smart copy.
Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
