Scarce exile publication of a late novel by Marai. None of his works was allowed to appear in Hungary between 1948 and the fall of Communism in 1989, the year in which Marai commited suicide. This novel is described by the author as a continuation and conclusion of Az Igazi, a work which appeared almost 40 years earlier.
In publisher's silver card covers, lettered in bright blue. Slight rubbing and vertical creasing to spine from having been read, probably just once.
