First Edition. Scarce first edition (3000 copies) of this long novel (454pp). In publisher's decorative paper-covered boards with title labels to front cover and spine.
Bound using iron staples, an explantation of the book's scarcity as most copies have fallen to pieces. Slight wear to all exposed edges of the binding but still quite sound. Small ink stain to lower edges barely extending into the margins at all.
Clean and tight. [EA; WG 2, 19; gut].
