If Morning Ever Comes
Anne Tyler
Chatto & Windus, London · 1965
First Edition. The first UK edition of Tyler's first book. This UK first printing is much scarcer than the Knopf edition, particularly in nice condition, as most copies went into libraries to be mutilated.
Publisher's slate grey imitation cloth covers, spine lettered in gilt. Unclipped dw showing the original price of 25 shillings. Author photo and biog to rear flap.
Minimal rubbing with neat internal tape reinforcement at head and tail of spine and one short, closed tear to top of front panel. Dust-wrapper is intact and clean with just slight sun darkening to spine and minimal wear at extremities. Book has very faint page edge foxing but no previous ownership marks.
Seems like it was probably read once 40 years ago and then carefully reshelved.
Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
