Walter White Tauchnitz, Leipzig · 1881
First Edition. Extremely scarce Tauchnitz travel book in the original wraps. Todd & Bowden's #1976 sole issue.
Only one other such copy recorded (in T&B's personal collection). Cream wraps lettered in black and with ads to rear cover dated May 1881. 16pp publisher's catalogue at end of text also dated May 1881.Patchy water staining to covers which has not seeped through or wrinkled the card. Slight creasing and end rubbing, but a sound and internally very clean copy.
Rare in this original condition.
Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
