Kassak's massive autobiographical novel, first published in 8 volumes between 1928 and 1939. This is the second edition, in 2 chunky volumes and running to over 1300 pages. In the publisher's pale tan linen with lettering by Kassak and both volumes in the Kassak designed dws which feature an abstract work in yellow and shades of blue.
The books are clean and sound; the dws are worn and frayed with some neat internal tape repairs. This is, however, the first edition to feature this artwork and copies in dws are extremely scarce. Kassak Lajos (illustrator).
