First Edition. First edition in Hungarian. Number 4 in the enormously important Modern Konyvtar series which introduced Hungarians to the best of post-war literature from beyond their own borders.
Translation by Ottlik Geza, himself an important figure inthe Hungarian literary scene. Plain card covers with dust-wrapper pasted to book spine as issued. Very slight shelf wear but very good or better, particularly considering the poor production quality.
Scarce, even in Hungary.
