Cicero

Anthony Trollope
Chapman & Hall, London · 1880

First Edition. Two-volume first edition in original cloth. Sadleir #58, but neither of the variants he mentions.

This set is as his first issue, with black end-papers, but differs in having three rules (2 thin, one thick) at top and tail of spine and sans-serif lettering for author and publishers. Maroon, sand-grained cloth, top edges uncut. A lovely, clean, bright set, with no previous ownership inscriptions.

Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
