First Edition Thus. Nice copy of this uncommon novel by Sandeau, first published in 1845 and here reissued in a 'Nouvelle edition'. Smart contemporary full-cloth binding with decoration in blind-tooling and spine lettering in gilt; all edges marbled.
Slight edge wear to covers and very light foxing to text but clean and sound.
