Arthur Morrison: A Bibliography of First Editions

Jeremy [Arthur Morrison] Parrott
Kakapo Press, Szeged · 2007

First Edition. Brand new bibliography of the novelist Arthur Morrison (1863-1945). Author of detective stories and gritty realist novels in the 1890s, Morrison later became a noted collector of Oriental Art and retired from literary activity when his collection was sold to the British Museum in 1913.

For almost 25 years, however, he was highly industrious as a magazine writer and author of fictions which met with both popular and critical acclaim. Now his works are highly prized - and mostly very hard to find. The present bibliography is the first attempt to describe the entirety of Morrison's output, with detailed descriptions and issue points for all his first editions, as well as notes on later editions.

Also sections on the author's contributions to books and magazine articles. The book is a large format quality softback with French flaps, 72pp incl. 8pp colour and 8pp b/w illustrations. Issued in a strictly limited edition of 500 hand-numbered copies.

Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
