First Edition. Presentable copy in first edition of one of Conrad's later novels. Publisher's green cloth lettered and ruled in gilt; top edge stained green.
First state copy, with running head on p.67 intact. Total first edition printing of 20,000, though probably less than half that number in first state. The present copy has very slight shelf wear to head and tail and light page-edge foxing else clean and bright.
