Very Good. Uncommon title by this prolific writer, mostly remembered for John Halifax Gentleman. Although dated 1860 on tp text is followed by 16pp publisher's catalogue dated 1890.
In contemporary slate grey half cloth binding, gilt spine rules and lettering, all edges stained red. Minor wear to edges butgenerally clean, sound and smart.
