Very scarce two-volume Hungarian pulp edition of The Scarlet Pimpernel, issued in late 1934 as part of the Milliok Konyve series to coincide with the release of Korda's film. Both Korda and Orczy were, of course, Hungarian by birth. The covers show film stills: Merle Oberon on Vol. 1 and Leslie Howard as Sir Percy on Vol. 2.
These card-covered books are staple-bound and very fragile. Rubbed and creased but still quite sound. Extremely scarce, even in Hungary.
